First Annual Meeting after Pandemic
Annual Meeting Sept. 29 to Oct. 2, 2022 in Vuokatti/FIN

19 September 2022    The board members of The World Masters Cross-Country Ski Association are pleased that after a three-year interruption due to the corona pandemic, this year's annual meeting in Vuokatti/Finland at the end of September can finally be held again with personal presence and not, as the last meetings, exclusively as a video conference.

During the various meetings with different focuses, they will deal with numerous topics.

Vuokatti will host the Masters World Cup for the second time in 2024. Although one is very familiar with the locations of the MWC in 2016, one is looking forward to see the adjustments made on the tracks.

A special focus is of course on the upcoming Masters World Cup, which will take place from 18 to 24 March 2023 in Seefeld/Tyrol, Austria. The OC will give an update on the latest status of the preparatory work in an online conference. Registrations for the MWC in Seefeld are already possible, as in recent years via the Datasport website, www.datasport.com. Due to the strong demand, it is already advisable to book accommodation as soon as possible. For more details, visit the organizer's website at www.mwc2023.com.

An application from La Feclaz/France has been submitted for the MWC in 2025. The delegates will deal with it in detail and then make a decision.

Fortunately, with the venue Sappada, an Italian applicant has shown interest in hosting a Masters World Cup. The WMA has already received an application for the year 2026.

Of course, other topics are also on the agenda, such as the financial report and the admission of new National Directors.
