Polish XC Masters Association founded

20 October 2022     After long and difficult efforts, we have succeeded in establishing an association representing the Masters cross-country skiing community in Poland: "Polish XC Masters", which we call shortly "PXCM".

This is confirmed by the official court entry dated 6.07.2022.

The association has the honor of working closely with the international cross-country skiing association founded in 1982: "The World Masters Cross-Country Ski Association", from which we received a Certificate to:

1) Represent the Masters cross-country skiing community in Poland;

2) Organize the Polish Masters Cross-Country Ski and Roller Ski Championships.

The main goal of PXCM is to popularize cross-country skiing in Poland with a special focus on people over 30. Sports life does not end after thirty! That's why we want to encourage not only former athletes, but also absolute amateurs to continue their physical activity, motivate them to continue sports competition and make them have fun while doing it.

We want to revive amateur cross-country skiing in Poland and following the motto: "The apple doesn't fall far from the apple tree", perhaps make our initiative encourage the descendants of our "Masters" to start the adventure of sports cross-country skier.

By virtue of representing the aforementioned world organization, we also want to show that, in addition to competing in domestic competitions, it is possible to go abroad and try your hand at international competition. For those who are already on the cusp of amateur exploits at home, it's an impulse for further development, an opportunity to compete against foreign equals, and for every amateur it's a chance to get a taste of competing in professionally organized competitions of international rank and an unforgettable cross-cultural experience, perhaps resulting in new international contacts/friendships.

For now, get your lubricants ready for the next Masters World Cup in Seefeld, which is scheduled to take place from March 18-24, 2023.
