MWC 2020 - Negotiations with OC will be settled very soon

As was announced on 28 February, the rapidly intensifying situation around the world and within Northern Italy with regards to the COVID-19 virus regrettably necessitated the cancellation of the Masters World Cup 2020 in Cogne/ITA scheduled for March 5-14, 2020.

Consideration of the health, safety, and well-being of master skiers is the primary duty of the WMA Executive and National Directors around the world. The disappointment and difficulties of the MWC2020 cancellation pale in comparison to the enormous global implications presented by the COVID-19 virus.

The entire WMA Board wishes to express our deepest sympathies for the people of Cogne, the quarantined regions of Italy, and the entire nation of Italy. We hope that the Cogne area and overall Aosta Valley region will recover quickly to once again welcome year round guests to this beautiful part of the world.

The WMA Board is confident that a positive conclusion for the participants can be achieved with the OC in the next few days.

For MWC2020 registered skiers, please remain in close contact with your respective National Director for updates regarding any potential refunds and returns related to the MWC2020 cancellation.
